Whether you are a fan of the Queen or indifferent to the royals, many of us will be enjoying a long weekend from 2-5 June in honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

There are lots of events on in Manchester to mark HRH Elizabeth II’s 70 years on the throne, from beacon lighting to picnics in the parks.
