In November GMCA launched a Pipeline for growth – identifying high-impact housing, employment, and regeneration projects – underpinned by its £1bn Good Growth Fund to pump-prime shovel-ready projects. The next round of projects in line for investment will be announced in March.
Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham said: "As the UK’s fastest growing economy, we are using our pioneering devolved powers and flexibility over funding to invest in the priority projects and schemes that will achieve that mission."
The GMCA strategy includes a £79m plan for investment.
A new flagship £10m GM Production Fund will build on creative sector strengths by making Greater Manchester the most attractive place in the UK for film and TV productions.
The combined authority is also investing £5m through its Greater Manchester Culture Fund and announcing a brand new Town of Culture for 2026.
