Denton stabbing: three injured in Yew Tree Road incident in Tameside

A woman was taken to hospital after a stabbing in Tameside and two other people were injured.

GMP officers were called to Yew Tree Road, Denton, on Satuday morning (18 March) to reports of a knife incident. One woman was taken to hospital but her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. Two people police believe were involved took themselves to hospital with serious injuries, but they are not thought to be life threatening. Police have upped patrols in the area and Yew Tree Road was behind a police cordon, but say they believe it was an ‘isolated incident with no wider risk to the public.’

Detective Sergeant Pete Goddard of GMP Tameside district said: “A scene will continue to be in place whilst we conduct further searches and enquiries.
