Dan Lee: missing man’s body found in River Irwell in Salford after night out in Manchester
Police looking for a man reported missing in Manchester have sadly confirmed they have found a body.
Daniel Lee was last sighted leaving Mojos nightclub on Bridge Street in Manchester in the early hours of Monday (22 August) following a night out with his friends and colleagues.

Hide AdGreater Manchester police confirmed on Thursday that a body was recovered from the River Irwell in Ordsall, Salford, around 3.45pm.
Mr Lee’s family have been informed, police said.
Mr Lee, 41, worked for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service as a watch manager.
The service issued a tribute from chief fire officer Dave Russel via a statement on social media.
It said: “Everyone is shocked and deeply saddened by the untimely death of our colleague, watch manager Dan Lee.

Hide Ad“Our thoughts are with Dan’s family and friends ... This is a tragic end to a very difficult week and not the outcome we so desperately all hoped for.
“Dan, who served for GMFRS for 16 years, was a popular and valued member of our GMFRS family and he will be deeply missed.”
He also thanked police and all who assisted with the search, and added the service will continue to support Mr Lee’s family.
