Claudio Campos: man charged following attack on Sikh priest in Manchester city centre

Police have charged a 28-year-old man following an attack on a Sikh priest in Manchester city centre in June.

Claudio Campos, of Ladybarn Lane, Manchester, has been charged with Section 20 assault.

Paramedics called police after the priest was found unconscious in the road on Tib Street in the Northern Quarter in 23 June.

The man was taken to hospital where he remains.

Campo is due to attend Manchester Magistrates Court today (Thursday 8 September 2022).
