The BBC is hosting two Children in Need TV events at MediaCity next week and you can now apply to get free tickets to be in the audience.

The annual tellython fundraiser has featured Hollywood stars, Premier League footballers, TV icons and best-selling music artists in previous years - and those turning up to one of two pre-recorded programmes in Salford are being promised they’ll see some top names taking part.

The stars have not been revealed but BBC pre-publicity says to expect “a fun surprise with one of TV’s biggest stars” on the recording on Thursday 18 November, and a “top music act” at the recording on Friday 19 November.

The advanced recordings will be included in the main live show on the evening of 19 November.

How can I get tickets?

The pre-records are for over 16s only (those under 18 need to bring an adult). You can apply for two tickets.

The Thursday session is at 6.30pm and the Friday session at 11.55am.

You need to register with the BBC Shows and Tours service and apply for tickets - which are not guaranteed. Find out more via the BBC here.

When is Children in Need?

The main live Children in Need broadcast goes out on BBC1 on the evening of Friday 19 November.
