Dozens of lovely dogs are currently living in animal shelters and centres just waiting for the right person to come through the doors and give them their forever home.
The Dogs Trust is just one organisation in Manchester that has a number of canines looking for adoption, so we have taken a look at the animals waiting for the chance to become the perfect pet and pulled together this lovely gallery of some of them.

Hide AdWith issues in recent years such as the Covid-19 pandemic and the cost of living crisis there is concern among rescue and rehabilitation organisations about increasing levels of demand for their services. The Dogs Trust said more than 50,000 Brits handed over their animals last year as they were unable to keep looking after that.
The Dogs Trust is also running a campaign called Underdogs in May, which highlights some of the unfortunate pooches that have been languishing in its centres for the longest periods of time.
