So much has changed in over the last few years alone and it is sometimes hard to keep up with all the new developments. In truth, some places are barely recognisable now compared to 10 years ago.
Whole neighbourhoods have been built in formerly abandoned and derelict areas. But, at the same time, we’ve also lost some local institutions and historic buildings along the way.

1. Deansgate Square

3. Corporation Street
The Ducie Bridge pub, pictured here in 2008, closed in 2015 and later demolished to make way for the Green Quarter NOMA development. It is located on the corner of Corporation Street and Miller Street. First opened in 1923, it because well known in its later life for its comedy club, which hosted the likes of Peter Kay, Johnny Vegas and Frank Sidebottom. | Google Maps

This office building, No 4 Angel Square, was completed last year and is located in the Green Quarter's NOMA development. It replaced the famous and historic Ducie Bridge Pub, which campaigners tried to save prior to its demolition. | Google Maps
