Greater Manchester’s most expensive houses revealed: the 7 streets with multi-million pound homes sold

Twenty-three homes in Greater Manchester sold for more than £1m each last year, according to property data.

And across Greater Manchester as a whole, there were 242 properties which were snapped up for seven-figure sums, new research by Property Solvers suggests.

Using Land Registry data on sold prices, they estimate that the luxury homes went for a whopping £383m in total in 2021-22 - but this was a drop from the previous year, where 429 million-pound+ pads changed hands.

8.Ringley Drive, Whitefield, Manchester, M45 7BX: the average house price on this street is over £1m - but one luxury pad with cinema room, steam room and six bedrooms went for a cool £2.5m.

7. Broad Lane, Hale, Altrincham, WA15 0DF: house prices on this desirable street climbed 25% last year - and one five-bed, four-bath mansion with landscaped grounds sold for £2.55m

6 & 5. Stanhope Road, Bowdon, Altrincham, WA14 3JY: Rightmove reports house prices on this plush street have shot up 84% last year - and one deatched pad sold for £2.55m in that period, while another six-bed with its own ‘leisure floor’ changed hands for £3m.

4. Parklands, Grasscroft, near Oldham, OL4 4JT: an absolutely stunning rural home, this seven-bed detached house has its own football pitch, home cinema and swimming pool, set in a lovely hillside location outside Oldham - and it fetched £.315m when sold.

3. Carrwood, Hale Barns, Altrincham, WA15 0EE: a detached home in the ever-exclusive Hales Barns was worth £1.1m in 2004 - fast forward to 2021 and it went for £3.4m.

2. Devisdale Road, Altrincham, WA14 2AT: with five-bedrooms, a quarter-acre plot and close access to two top schools, it’s perhaps no surprise this home shifted for £3.8m.
