Five Guys is set to open its latest branch in Manchester on Monday 28 March.

The American burger brand, which claims to offer 250,000 possible burger order combinations, will open its doors near Piccadilly Gardens, in the former Yorkshire Building Society branch on the corner of Piccadilly and Oldham Street.

The fast food chain, which also sells hotdogs, sandwiches and milkshakes, already has branches in the Arndale and at University Green.

The branch had originally put in an application to operate 24 hours a day but residents living above the new restaurant objected to the city council, saying they were already concerned about anti-social behaviour in the area.

The American burger chain reduced its requested opening hours after meeting with residents to discuss their concerns.

The restaurant will now close at 11pm during the week and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
