Foo Fighters in Manchester: when is the gig, how to get pre-sale tickets & Covid requirements

The legendary rockers have confirmed one of only a handful of UK for the Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground.

The Foo Fighters have named Manchester as one of only four gigs they have pencilled for the UK on their upcoming tour.

And the Emirates Old Trafford leg will be the first of those on Saturday 25 June, 2022, before the band head to Villa Park in Birmingham then the London Stadium for two nights. They will be supported by St Vincent and Loose Articles.

Pre-sale tickets have been released today (Wednesday) via the Foo Fighters’ official website here. Fans can sign up to the mailing list newsletter for more details on pre-sale exclusives - and gig-goers have been sharing pre-sale codes on Twitter to others struggling to find theirs.

Remaining tickets will go on general sale from 9am on Friday 20 August.

The band are no strangers to gigging in Manchester on previous UK tours. Some fans in other parts of the UK, however, have taken to the Foo Fighters’ Facebook page today to complain about the lack of gigs planned for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland on the current tour.

Are there Covid restrictions?

The Foo Fighters’ website advises:

Audiences will need to demonstrate their COVID-19 status by providing one of these:- Proof of a negative NHS Rapid Lateral Flow Test taken within 24 hours prior to attending- Proof of full approved vaccination, 2 doses with the second dose at least 14 days prior to the arrival at the venue.It adds purchasers will be contacted in advance of the shows with more information.
