One of Manchester’s newest food and entertainment venues is launching its new beer garden and it features refurbished vintage holiday homes that you and your friends can rent out.
The Rum Caravan beer garden is part of Diecast, which describes itself as a “post-industrial warehouse bar, kitchen, performance space and creative neighbourhood” that also has a dance floor. Having opened earlier this summer, they have become known for their vast selection of frozen daiquiri slush machines, which comes in 49 different combinations.

They all feature comfy, low-lit booths, upholstered in premium corduroy, as well as plenty of nostalgic touches, including quirky details like cuckoo clocks, vintage suitcases, reclaimed wooden walls and herringbone flooring.
The caravans are available to book in booths for parties of 4-12 people, and you can also book the whole caravan for up to 40 guests. Bookings can be made via email at [email protected].
Food and drink
Guests can order food from the Diecast’s LENO kitchen straight to their caravan. New on the menu is the ‘NeoPan’ pizza, which is Neapolitan-style pizza combined with New York pizza toppings, including Calabrian ‘soppressata piccante’ (cured boar’s head), delicate broccoletti, fennel sausage and sweet Sicilian baby datterini tomatoes for the marinara.
Also on offer are burgers that include dry-aged Angus short rib and brisket patty loaded into a beautiful, house-made potato brioche roll, and stacked with onion, gherkins, burger sauce, aged cheddar and classic American cheese. There is also a plant-based option for vegetarians and vegans.

On the drinks front, they have the most impressive selection of frozen daiquiris in the whole of Greater Manchester – possibly the country. The House of Daiquiri includes 49 different flavour combinations, and a signature menu with items such as Turbo Mojito’, and ‘Corn & Oil’, paired delightfully with Bacardi Ocho and overproof Takamaka. They also offer spritzes and wines from around Europe, as well as craft ales from the likes of Deya and Northern Monk.
