A cookie chain is to open its first spot in the north of England at the Trafford Centre. Ben’s Cookies will open in Peel Avenue on Valentine’s Day. 

Baking since 1983 in Oxford’s Covered Market, the majority of the outlet’s other 13 UK stores are in the south of England, with one in Edinburgh. Ben’s can also be found across the globe in the UAE, Singapore and Japan.

The company prides itself on using chunks, not chips, of delicious Belgian chocolate with each cookie individually rolled and then freshly baked on-site in each of their shops.

Favourites include the milk chocolate chunk or double chocolate chunk with more adventurous options including caramelised crunch or white chocolate and cranberry. 

The Manchester Ben’s store opens at the Trafford Centre on Wednesday, February 14. Ben is the son of founder Helge Rubinstein and he features in the logo drawn by renowned illustrator Sir Quentin Blake.
