Here are 10 of the most popular job vacancies in Manchester’s hospitality sector right now

With the increase in vacancies rising in the run up to Christmas, hospitality is a sector with some of the most vacancies.

Salary is so dependent on experience, and the type of contract you are offered. Totaljobs found that in a sample size of 7,745 people the average salary for hospitality workers across the UK is £25,000.

But which jobs are offering that?

According to Totaljobs the average salary for hospitality jobs in Manchester is £25,000, but can range from £19,000-32,500.

Here is a snapshot of some of the most popular jobs available in Manchester today (Wednesday):

1. £25,058-39,104 per year Front of House Staff/ServerEat Meat is looking for a new staff member after a refurbishment at the restaurant. Offering exciting development opportunities. 

2. £19,000 per year, Barista/All Rounder The oldest independent coffee shop in Manchester, Java Coffee is looking for someone to train up to make the best flat white this side of Melbourne!

3. £12.70 per hour, Waiter/Waitress Hawksmoore Manchester is hoping to add someone to their team. They are recognised as one of the top company employers in the UK.

4. £12.50 per hour, Bartender Award-winning restaurant Dishoom is looking to expand their team, offering first class training, and industry leading pay.

5. £12 per hour, Waiting Staff ASK Ventures has both full-time and part-time roles currently available.

6. £10-12 per hour, Chefs of all levels Northern Hospitality LTD is looking for a full-time Head Chef and part-time Chef to join their creative team.

7. £9-13 per hour, Waiting Staff Giorgio One Ltd is looking for a new staff member to join their waiting team on a full-time basis.

8. £9.50 per hour, Bar Staff HOME Manchester is looking for passionate bartenders to join their restaurant on first street.

9. £9.20 per hour, Weekend and Full Time Barista and Cafe server Head Over Heels in Handforth Dean is a family venue looking for an experienced server to join their customer focused team

10. £8.92-10 per hour, Food Preparation and Front of HousePopular food stall Panchos Burritos Ltd is looking for a full time worker, offering 20-40 hours a week.

This is just a handful of the positions available at the moment that are paying above the minimum wage. However, the national living wage changes every year.

It was reported on October 6th that prime minister Boris Johnson will increase the minimum wage to £9.42 in the coming weeks.
