Independent favourite Bob & Berts opens first cafe in Greater Manchester with free breakfast giveaway

Independent coffee chain Bob & Burts is opening a new branch in Bury tomorrow (29 April) - with a free breakfast and coffee giveaway for its first customers.
The brand is well-known in Northern Ireland, where it first started and now has 14 branches, along with five in Scotland.

Hide AdThe cosy, colourful and family-friendly coffee house has since opened cafes in Preston, Kendal and Lancaster as part of a big expansion but the Bury site in the Rock shopping centre is its first in Greater Manchester.
And early birds can enjoy some free treats on its opening day - the first 10 customers on Friday (29 April) will get a free breakfast and the first 100 will receive a free coffee.
The cafe is open 8am – 9pm, seven days a week.
What’s on the menu at Bob & Bert’s?
There’s an all-day breakfast menu including Bob’s Famous Fry and Bert’s English Breakfast Muffin, as well pancake stacks and waffle dishes.
There are also lunch items such as freshly made paninis, burgers with loaded fries and salads, plus a range of vegetarian and vegan dishes such as the Vegan Breakfast Burrito and a gluten free menu which includes the brunch favourite Eggs Benny.

Hide AdAnd on the drinks menu, expect coffee, ice-cream shakes and smoothies. There is also a small children’s menu.
‘Supporting the local high street’
The opening has created 35 new jobs.
Colin McClean, founder of Bob & Berts, said: “We’ve made a significant investment in transforming the Bury site to create a location that’s completely unique in the town and will offer customers an extensive range of great grub and proper coffee served all day long in our relaxed surroundings.

David Ferguson, co-owner of Bob & Berts, added: “We’re really pleased with the new store, which is our fourth opening in England in the last 12 months.
