SEO and Trends Writer
I’m an SEO and trends writer for National World, I create content for a number of sites across the UK including the Sunderland Echo, Newcastle World and Yorkshire Evening Post. I write a mix of national and regional news, with a focus on breaking news, property and weather. Originally from County Durham, I studied sports journalism at the University of Sunderland before going on to complete a Masters in public relations. In 2019, I got my first job in journalism as a community news reporter covering two local communities for the Sunderland Echo and Shields Gazette. Two years later I took on a role as a Senior Digital Journalist for National World titles across the North East, including Sunderland Echo, Shields Gazette, Hartlepool Mail and Northumberland Gazette. During my time as a journalist, I’m proud to have supported local communities by highlighting food bank campaigns, covering protests to protect green spaces from housing and sharing some incredible fundraising campaigns for worthy causes. As a lover of sport, you’ll often find me cheering on Sunderland AFC at the Stadium of Light or taking in any kind of sport I can. I’m a huge fan of all things Star Wars, Marvel and love to travel whenever I can. I also have a big interest in politics as well as professional wrestling.
