United have reportedly agreed a fee with Atalanta to sign striker Rasmus Højlund. According to Sky Sports, the club have reached an ‘agreement’ in principle worth £64million, with an additional £8million in add-ons.
The 20-year-old, who is a Denmark international with six caps under his belt, only joined his current club last year from Sturm Graz and is now poised to move on again for a new challenge in England. He scored 10 goals in 34 games in all competitions last term.
Defender latest
Defender Axel Tuanzebe has been linked with a move to Sheffield United following their promotion from the Championship last term under Paul Heckingbottom, as per The Star. He is available on a free transfer after the Red Devils decided against extending his contract when his deal at Old Trafford expired at the end of last month.
The centre-back is now weighing up his options as a free agent and could be thrown a top flight lifeline by the Blades as they look to bolster their ranks. Tuanzebe played 37 times for United’s first-team after rising up through their academy ranks and also had loan spells away at Aston Villa, Napoli and Stoke City.
