Manchester United are now preparing to take on Borussia Dortmund in the early hours of Monday morning.

The Red Devils now have just three friendly clashes remaining, albeit two of them will be played within a day of each other, with Erik ten Hag splitting his squad. In the meantime, United will continue to work on new arrivals and possible departures ahead of the new season, with Ten Hag needing to add depth in some places while trimming the edges from others.

With that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Old Trafford.

Hojlund medical

United are closing in on the signing of Atalanta forward Rasmus Hojlund.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, Hojlund is already in England for his medical, and it’s claimed a deal could be finalised as early as Satturday as United look to finall round off their striker search. It’s claimed the Red Devils will spend £64.5million to wrap up a deal for Hojlund, who has been dubbed a rising star after one season with Atalanta.

The report claims the two teams expect to finalise the agreement on Saturday, while Hojlund won’t play in Atalanta’s friendly clash with Bournemouth this weekend.

Amrabat focus

United are said to be set to ramp up their efforts to sign Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat after an injury blow.

According to the Express, Amrabat will now become a serious transfer target after impressive youngster Kobbie Mainoo was ruled out for the start of the new season through injury. Amrabat has been linked with United throughout the summer, but Fiorentina have made it clear they won’t sell unless their valuation is met.

Amrabat, who impressed with Morocco during the World Cup, is said to be valued at around £30million, and if he does arrive, it will surely signal the end of Scott McTominay’s United career.
