Trafford road closures: four for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Trafford's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Trafford's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A5103, from 8.30pm August 21 to 5am September 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M56 both directions, junction 3 to junction 4 - carriageway closure for construction - bridge/structure.

M56, from 4.36pm January 13 2020 to 6am January 1 2025, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): No closures allowed unless 5k away between, junction 8 and M60 both directions.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M602, from 9pm September 2 to 5am September 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, 11 to 12 - lane closure for barriers.

M56, from 9pm September 4 to 5am September 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M56 eastbound, jct eight - six lane closures a slip road closures due to drainage works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
