Trafford's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Trafford's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And seven of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M56, from 4.36pm January 13 2020 to 6am January 1 2025, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): No closures allowed unless 5k away between, junction 8 and M60 both directions.

And a further seven closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M60, from 8.30pm October 4 to 5am October 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 9 to junction 13 - carriageway closure for communications.

M56, from 8pm October 9 to 6am October 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M56 both directions J3A to J8 - lane closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

M60, from 8pm October 9 to 6am October 10, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J9 to J5 - lane closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

A5103, from 8pm October 9 to 6am October 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M56 westbound, jct five to 9 lane closures and carriageway closure due to improvements.

M60, from 6.30am to 7pm on October 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and Anticlockwise, junction 7 slip road closures due to off network event.

A5103, from 8pm October 16 to 6am October 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M56 eastbound, jct seven to 5 lane closures and carriageway closure due to improvements.

M60, from 9pm October 16 to 5am October 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 5 to junction 5 - carriageway closure for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
