Road closures: five for Trafford drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Trafford will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M56, from 9pm February 5 to 5am February 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M56 both directions J6 to J5 - lane closure for drainage on behalf of National Highways.

• A5103, from 11pm December 14 2023 to 6am May 15 2024, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J7 to J6 - carriageway closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

• A5103, from 8pm January 8 to 6am June 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J7 to J6 - carriageway closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M60, from 8pm February 23 to 5am February 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 both directions J5 to J8 - lane closure for barriers - permanent.

• M60, from 9pm February 26 to 6am February 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 5 to 9 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Bridge inspections.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
