Road closures: a dozen for Trafford drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Trafford will have 12 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And five of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A5103, from 11pm December 14 2023 to 6am May 15 2024, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J7 to J6 - carriageway closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

• A5103, from 8pm January 8 to 6am June 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J7 to J6 - carriageway closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

And a further 10 closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M602, from 9pm February 19 to 5am February 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, 11 to 12 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

• M60, from 8pm February 23 to 5am February 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 both directions J5 to J8 - lane closure for barriers - permanent.

• M60, from 9pm February 26 to 6am February 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 5 to 9 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Bridge inspections.

• M60, from 8pm February 27 to 6am February 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anticlockwise jct nine - five lane closures and slip road closures due to Bridge inspections.

• M60, from 8pm February 28 to 5am February 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 both directions J5 to J6 - lane closure for barriers - permanent.

• M60, from 8pm February 29 to 5am March 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J6 to J5 - carriageway closure for barriers - permanent.

• M60, from 8pm February 29 to 5am March 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J8 to J5 - lane closure for barriers - permanent.

• M62, from 8pm February 29 to 6am March 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J11 to J12 - lane closure for signs - erection on behalf of National Highways.

• A5103, from 8pm March 1 to 5am March 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise J6 to J7 - carriageway closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

• M60, from 8pm March 4 to 5am March 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise J5 to J6 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
