Good news as food hygiene ratings handed to eight Trafford establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to eight of Trafford’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to seven restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: KFC at 100 George Richards Way, Altrincham; rated on January 17

• Rated 5: Top Table Catering at Unit 4ea Stag Industrial Estate, Atlantic Street, Altrincham; rated on January 17

• Rated 5: Antz in your Pantz LTD at 7-8 Crown Industrial Estate, Canal Road, Timperley, Altrincham; rated on January 15

• Rated 5: Cornerstone at Davyhulme Methodist Church, Hayeswater Road, Davyhulme, Manchester; rated on January 13

• Rated 5: Greggs PLC at 154a Northenden Road, Sale; rated on January 12

• Rated 5: NorthRoad Cycles Ltd at 8 Hampson Street, Sale; rated on January 12

• Rated 5: Theatre cafe at Broom House, 54-56 Seymour Grove, Old Trafford, Manchester; rated on January 12
