Good news as food hygiene ratings given to eight Trafford establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to eight of Trafford’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to six restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: A Taste of India at 6 Greenwood Street, Altrincham; rated on January 25

• Rated 5: eggandco at Units 69 To 72 Stretford Shopping Mall, Chester Road, Stretford, Manchester; rated on January 25

• Rated 5: Kingfisher Stretford Ltd at 106 King Street, Stretford; rated on January 25

• Rated 5: Longford at Cafe, Stretford, Manchester; rated on January 25

• Rated 5: TeamSport Indoor Karting at Unit 4, Circle South, Trafford Park, Manchester; rated on January 25

• Rated 5: Citywide workplace catering at Manchester Mill, Trafford Park Road, Trafford Park, Manchester; rated on November 19

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And two ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:

• Rated 5: Mersey Valley Sports Club at Ashton On Mersey Rufc, Banky Lane, Sale; rated on January 25

• Rated 5: Tollgate Inn at Toll Gate, Seymour Grove, Old Trafford, Manchester; rated on January 25
