Good news as food hygiene ratings awarded to 11 Trafford establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 11 of Trafford’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to eight restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Nando's at Neary Way, Davyhulme, Manchester; rated on June 6

• Rated 5: Amphora Cafe LTD at 7-9 Hope Road, Sale; rated on June 1

• Rated 5: Rhode Island Coffee at 87 George Street, Altrincham; rated on May 30

• Rated 5: Move@ Urmston Leisure Centre at Urmston Leisure Centre, Bowfell Road, Urmston, Manchester; rated on May 26

• Rated 5: Rookies at 3-5 Barton Road, Stretford, Manchester; rated on May 19

• Rated 5: Cafe Nerd at 15 Moss Lane, Altrincham; rated on May 12

• Rated 5: Bean & Brush Arts Cafe at 12 Hayfield Street, Sale; rated on May 11

• Rated 5: Cafe4u at 2 Claremont Road, Sale; rated on May 11
