Good news as food hygiene ratings awarded to 10 Trafford establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 10 of Trafford’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to five restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Proost limited at 20 Crofts Bank Road, Urmston, Manchester; rated on March 11

• Rated 5: ABM Catering @ Verastar at Dovecote House Dovecote Business Park, Old Hall Road, Sale; rated on March 10

• Rated 5: Boathouse at Deckers, Rifle Road, Sale; rated on March 10

• Rated 5: FlyBar at 9 Trafford Way, Trafford Park, Manchester; rated on March 8

• Rated 5: Theatre cafe at Broom House, 54-56 Seymour Grove, Old Trafford, Manchester; rated on March 8

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And four ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:

• Rated 5: Church Inn at The Village, Flixton, Manchester; rated on March 11

• Rated 5: Mersey Valley Sports Club at Ashton On Mersey Rufc, Banky Lane, Sale; rated on March 10

• Rated 5: St Alphonsus Parish Centre at 2 Powell Street, Old Trafford, Manchester; rated on March 9

• Rated 5: Tollgate Inn at Toll Gate, Seymour Grove, Old Trafford, Manchester; rated on March 8
