The Lathums debut album - A step into summer at the beginning of autumn

The band from Wigan are set for an exciting end to 2021

Wigan Indie four-piece The Lathums have dropped their debut album entitled ‘How Beautiful Life Can Be’.

The group, who have a mammoth tour scheduled to take their sound to all corners of the UK, have gone from strength to strength since forming in 2019.

The album is the latest installment in an indie music scene that continues to flourish and shows no signs of being stunted by the coronavirus pandemic.

A peppy, vibrant sound flows through the record and it’s hard to listen without a smile on your face.

If Friday afternoon had a soundtrack, it would sound something like this.

It features the singles ‘Fight On’ which the band released last year and ‘I’ll Get By’ which was released as a single last month as a teaser for the full album release.

Like every performer in the industry, The Lathums touring schedule was halted by the pandemic.

The group had plans to tour the UK and Europe with Blossoms and Paul Weller, these are dates that have been rearranged for this year and, alongside their own headline tour, look set for a blistering end to 2021 that will carry on into 2022.

With their tour set and new tracks out there, now couldn’t be a better time to check out Wigan’s finest.
