A Tameside takeaway has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

MDK Shawarma, a takeaway at 1058 Ashton New Road, Droylsden, Tameside was given the score after assessment on February 24, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Tameside's 332 takeaways with ratings, 141 (42%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
