A Tameside takeaway has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Subway, a takeaway at Petrol Station, 113 Stamford Street, Stalybridge, Tameside was given the maximum score after assessment on November 15, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Tameside's 337 takeaways with ratings, 136 (40%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
