A Tameside takeaway has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Munch Away, a takeaway at 49 Penny Meadow, Ashton-Under-Lyne, Tameside was given the maximum score after assessment on June 1, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Tameside's 328 takeaways with ratings, 140 (43%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
