Tameside road closures: three for motorists to avoid this week

Tameside's motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And they are all are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A57, from 8am April 4 to 5pm August 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A57 westbound and eastbound, Mottram Moor, lane closures for Cadent gas.

And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M60, from 9pm July 4 to 6am July 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise j24 to j24 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

• M60, from 9pm July 10 to 6am July 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 24 - 25 lane closures and carriageway closures due to resurfacing.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
