Tameside road closures: six for motorists to avoid this week

Tameside's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 8pm August 15 to 5am September 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 to junction 3 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

M67, from 9pm August 29 2022 to 6am August 18 2025, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 - four lane closures and carriageway closures due to bridge works.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

M60, from 8pm September 30 to 5am November 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, Denton island to J4 - Lane closure for communications.

M60, from 8.30pm October 3 to 5am October 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 2 to junction 1 - Lane closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).

M60, from 8.30pm October 9 to 5am October 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise and Anticlockwise, junction 22 - 23 lane closures due to Central Reservation.

M60, from 8.30pm October 10 to 5am October 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 23 to junction 24 - Lane closure for general maintenance works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
