Tameside road closures: seven for motorists to avoid this week

Tameside's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Tameside's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 8pm March 20 to 6am April 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 Clock and Anticlockwise, junction 27 to 28 carriageway closure for inspection works.

M67, from 9pm January 10 2023 to 5am February 26 2025, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, J1a to J3 - carriageway closure for Structure - New/Reconstruction.

M67, from 9pm August 29 2022 to 6am August 18 2025, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 - four lane closures and carriageway closures due to bridge works.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

M60, from 8pm March 27 2023 to 6am May 3 2026, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 - four lane closures and carriageway closures for Structure Reconstruction.

M60, from 9pm March 27 to 5am March 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J23 to J22 - lane closure for construction - bridge/structure.

M60, from 8.30pm March 29 to 5am March 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, between Denton Island and junction 3 lane closures and carriageway closures due to general maintenance works.

A628, from 7pm April 5 to 5am April 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A57 both directions Florence Way to Moorfield Terrace - multiway signals for white lining/road markings.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
