Tameside road closures: eight for motorists to avoid this week

Tameside's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And seven of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 9pm June 26 to 5am June 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 22 - 24 Lane closures and closure of, junction 23 exit and access due to general maintenance works.

A57, from 8am April 4 to 5pm August 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A57 westbound and eastbound, Mottram Moor, lane closures for Cadent gas.

And a further six closures will begin over the next seven days:

M60, from 8.30pm June 27 to 5am June 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 2 to junction 1 - Lane closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).

M60, from 9pm June 27 to 5am June 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 24 to junction 22 - carriageway closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).

M60, from 9pm June 28 to 5am June 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 23 to 24 lane closure and slip road closures due to general maintenance works.

M60, from 9pm June 30 to 5am July 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 Anticlockwise, junction 25 - 23 - Lane closures and slip road closures for Horticultural works.

M60, from 9pm July 4 to 6am July 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise j24 to j24 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

M60, from 9pm July 10 to 6am July 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 24 - 25 lane closures and carriageway closures due to resurfacing.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
