Tameside road closures: eight for motorists to avoid this week

Tameside's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And six of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 9pm June 6 to 5am June 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 24 to junction 23 - Lane closure for drainage.

M60, from 8pm June 9 to 6am June 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound, J1 to 4 - Lane closure for Sign removal.

A57, from 8am April 4 to 5pm August 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A57 westbound and eastbound, Mottram Moor, lane closures for Cadent gas.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

M60, from 8pm June 19 to 6am June 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 24 - 25 lane closures and carriageway closures due to resurfacing.

M67, from 9pm June 21 to 5am June 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 westbound, junction 3 - two Lanes one and two westbound, road closure due to Structure maintenance.

M60, from 9pm June 26 to 5am June 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 22 - 24 Lane closures and closure of, junction 23 exit and access due to general maintenance works.

M60, from 8.30pm June 27 to 5am June 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 2 to junction 1 - Lane closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).

M60, from 9pm June 27 to 5am June 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 24 to junction 22 - carriageway closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
