Tameside's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Tameside's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 8pm January 7 to 6am February 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 westbound, three to 1 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

M67, from 9pm January 10 2023 to 5am February 26 2025, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, J1a to J3 - carriageway closure for Structure - New/Reconstruction.

M67, from 8pm August 11 2023 to 6am December 27 2025, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, one to 4 - narrow lanes for construction - bridge/structure.

M60, from 8pm March 27 2023 to 6am May 3 2026, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 - four lane closures and carriageway closures for Structure Reconstruction.

And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A628, from 9.30am February 6 to 3.30pm February 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A628 eastbound, works on footway outside No three Spring Court Mews due to works by Electricity North West.

M67, from 9pm February 7 to 5am February 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound, junction 1A to junction 1A - lane closure switching for litter clearance on behalf of National Highways.

A57, from 8pm February 12 to 5am February 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A57 eastbound and westbound, carriageway closure outside filling station due to electrical works.

M60, from 8pm February 12 to 5am February 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J23 to J23 - carriageway closure for drainage.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
