Tameside road closures: a dozen for motorists to avoid this week

Tameside's motorists will have 12 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And seven of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A57, from 8am April 4 to 5pm August 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A57 westbound and eastbound, Mottram Moor, lane closures for Cadent gas.

And a further 11 closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M60, from 8pm May 9 to 5am May 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise J24 to J24 - Lane closure for signs - Erection.

• M67, from 8pm May 9 to 5am May 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, J1 to J4 - Lane closure for communications.

• M67, from 8pm May 9 to 5am May 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound, J1 to JA - Lane closure for Sign removal.

• M60, from 6.30am to 10am on May 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 23 exit slip road lane closure due to loop ducting installations.

• A57, from 9pm May 16 to 5am May 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 westbound, junction 4 to junction 3 - Lane closure for Litter Clearance.

• M67, from 8pm May 18 to 5am May 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, J2 to J4 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 8pm May 19 to 5am May 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise 24 - 26 lane closures and mainline closures due to resurfacing.

• M60, from 8pm May 23 to 6am May 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise J22 to J24 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 8pm May 23 to 6am May 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J24 to J22 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 9pm May 23 to 7am June 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 Anticlockwise, junction 23 lane closures and slip road closure due to resurfacing.

• M60, from 9pm May 23 to 7am June 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 Anticlockwise, junction 24 lane closures and slip road closure due to resurfacing.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
