A Tameside drinking establishment has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Ashton And District Bridge Club, a pub, bar or nightclub at Ashton Bridge Club, Carr Street, Ashton-Under-Lyne, Tameside was given the maximum score after assessment on December 13, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Tameside's 239 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 171 (72%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
