Road closures: six for Tameside drivers this week

Drivers in and around Tameside will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Tameside will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M67, from 9pm January 10 2023 to 5am February 26 2025, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, J1a to J3 - carriageway closure for Structure - New/Reconstruction.

M67, from 9pm August 29 2022 to 6am August 18 2025, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 - four lane closures and carriageway closures due to bridge works.

M60, from 8pm March 27 2023 to 6am May 3 2026, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 - four lane closures and carriageway closures for Structure Reconstruction.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

M67, from 8pm May 23 to 6am May 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 - four lane closures and carriageway closures for Structure Reconstruction.

A57, from 7pm to 10pm on May 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A57 eastbound, from, junction A6018 between No's 139 - 141 Contraflow in place due to replacement of manhole frame.

A628, from 9pm June 1 to 5am June 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A628 eastbound and westbound, Tintwhistle, traffic lights for carriageway repairs.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
