Road closures: six for Tameside drivers this week

Drivers in and around Tameside will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A57, from 9.30am October 17 to 3.30pm October 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A57 from, junction M67/A57 roundabout to junction B6174 on footway outside No 28 at the entrance to the Shell Garage due to excavation.

M60, from 8pm September 30 to 5am November 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, Denton island to J4 - Lane closure for communications.

M67, from 9pm August 29 2022 to 6am August 18 2025, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 - four lane closures and carriageway closures due to bridge works.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

A628, from 9.30am to 3.30pm on October 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A628 eastbound and westbound, Tintwhistle, traffic signals for general cleaning and maintenance.

A57, from 8pm October 28 to 6am October 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A57 eastbound, M67/ A57 Hattersley Roundabout to John Kennedy Road - two-Way signals for signs.

M60, from 9pm November 3 to 6am November 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise J22 to J23 - Lane closure for White Lining/Road Markings.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
