Road closures: six for Tameside drivers this week

Drivers in and around Tameside will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a wait of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A57, from 8am April 4 to 5pm August 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A57 westbound and eastbound, Mottram Moor, lane closures for Cadent gas.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

M67, from 9pm April 21 to 5am April 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 westbound, junction 3 - two Lanes one and two westbound, road closure due to Structure maintenance.

M60, from 8.30pm April 25 to 5am April 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 2 to junction 1 - Lane closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).

M60, from 8.30pm April 27 to 5am April 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise and Anticlockwise, junction 22 - 23 lane closures due to Central Reservation.

A628, from 8pm to 10pm on April 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A628 eastbound, Market Street Hollingworth, lane closure for Utility works.

M60, from 8.30pm April 28 to 5am May 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 23 to junction 24 - Lane closure for general maintenance works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
