Road closures: seven for Tameside drivers this week

Drivers in and around Tameside will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 8pm September 30 to 5am November 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, Denton island to J4 - Lane closure for communications.

• M67, from 9pm August 29 2022 to 6am August 18 2025, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 - four lane closures and carriageway closures due to bridge works.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M60, from 8.30pm October 3 to 5am October 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 2 to junction 1 - Lane closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).

• M60, from 8.30pm October 9 to 5am October 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise and Anticlockwise, junction 22 - 23 lane closures due to Central Reservation.

• M60, from 8.30pm October 10 to 5am October 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 23 to junction 24 - Lane closure for general maintenance works.

• M60, from 8.30pm October 12 to 5am October 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 23 to junction 25 - Lane closure for general maintenance works.

• A57, from 9.30am October 17 to 3.30pm October 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A57 from, junction M67/A57 roundabout to junction B6174 on footway outside No 28 at the entrance to the Shell Garage due to excavation.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
