Road closures: seven for Tameside drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Tameside will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A628, from 9pm November 2 to 5am November 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A628 eastbound, works on footway outside 106 and 108 to enable the linking of BT boxes.

• M67, from 9pm January 10 2023 to 5am February 26 2025, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, J1a to J3 - carriageway closure for Structure - New/Reconstruction.

• M67, from 8pm August 11 2023 to 6am December 27 2025, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, one to 4 - narrow lanes for construction - bridge/structure.

• M60, from 8pm March 27 2023 to 6am May 3 2026, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 - four lane closures and carriageway closures for Structure Reconstruction.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A57, from 8pm November 8 to 6am November 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 westbound, junction 4 to J3 - lane closure for electrical works on behalf of National Highways.

• M60, from 8pm November 10 to 6am November 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 both directions J23 to J24 - lane closure for electrical works.

• A628, from 9.30am to 3.30pm on November 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A628 eastbound, Tintwistle, lane closure for BT works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
