Road closures: nine for Tameside drivers this week

Drivers in and around Tameside will have nine National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Tameside will have nine National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 9pm December 1 2022 to 6am March 25 2023, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 23 - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

M67, from 9pm January 10 2023 to 5am February 26 2025, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, J1a to J3 - carriageway closure for Structure - New/Reconstruction.

M67, from 9pm August 29 2022 to 6am August 18 2025, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 - four lane closures and carriageway closures due to bridge works.

And a further six closures will begin over the next seven days:

M60, from 8pm February 27 to 3am February 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 Anticlockwise, junction 24 exit slip road Lane one due to works by siems on behla of TfgM.

A57, from 9.30am February 28 to 3.30pm March 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A57 FROM J M67/A57 ROUNDABOUT TO J B6174 approx 23 metres from entrance to Londis garage works in the footway.

A57, from 9.30am February 28 to 3.30pm March 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A57eastbound, junction Mottram Road multi way signals due to signal head works.

M67, from 8pm March 1 to 6am March 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, Denton island to junction 4 - carriageway closures for communications.

M60, from 8pm March 9 to 5am March 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 24 lane closure for sign erection.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
