Road closures: nine for Tameside drivers this week

Drivers in and around Tameside will have nine National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And four of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 9pm July 4 to 6am August 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise j24 to j24 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

M67, from 8pm August 3 to 6am August 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, j3 to j3 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

And a further seven closures will begin over the next seven days:

M60, from 8pm August 15 to 5am September 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 to junction 3 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

M67, from 8pm August 16 to 5am August 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound, junction 1A to 3 - Lane closure for communications.

A57, from 9.30am to midday, on August 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A57 eastbound, Back moor, Lane closure for electrical works.

M60, from 9pm August 18 to 5am August 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, Denton Island to Hattersley Roundabout - carriageway closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).

A57, from 9.30am August 22 to 3.30pm August 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A57 westbound, Hyde Road two-way traffic signals.

M67, from 9pm August 22 to 5am August 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 westbound, junction 3 - two Lanes one and two westbound, road closure due to Structure maintenance.

M67, from 9pm August 29 2022 to 6am August 18 2025, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 - four lane closures and carriageway closures due to bridge works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
