Road closures: nine for Tameside drivers this week

Drivers in and around Tameside will have nine National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And six of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A57, from 8am April 4 to 5pm August 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A57 westbound and eastbound, Mottram Moor, lane closures for Cadent gas.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next seven days:

M60, from 8pm May 23 to 6am May 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J24 to J22 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

M60, from 8pm May 23 to 6am May 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise J22 to J24 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

M60, from 8.30pm May 23 to 6am May 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 - two - M60 clockwise, junction 24 lane closures due to maintenance works.

M60, from 9pm May 23 to 7am June 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 Anticlockwise, junction 23 lane closures and slip road closure due to resurfacing.

M67, from 8pm May 24 to 5am May 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound, J1 to 4 - Lane closure for Sign removal.

M60, from 8.30pm May 27 to 5am May 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 25 to junction 24 - Lane closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
