Road closures: four for Tameside drivers this week

Drivers in and around Tameside will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Tameside will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a wait of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A628, from 8pm December 5 to 6am December 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A628 eastbound, Market Street to Millbrook Bridge works on footway and two-way signals due to works on footway.

M60, from 9pm December 1 2022 to 6am January 21 2023, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 23 - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

M67, from 9pm August 29 2022 to 6am August 18 2025, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 - four lane closures and carriageway closures due to bridge works.

And one more closure will begin over the next seven days:

A628, from 8pm December 19 to 6am December 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A628 westbound, at, junction with Taylor Street lane one closure due to rebuild of chamber in carriageway.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
