Road closures: eight for Tameside drivers this week

Drivers in and around Tameside will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M67, from 9pm August 30 to 6am September 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 - four lane closures and carriageway closures due to bridge works.

M67, from 5am August 30 to 9pm September 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 - four lane closures and carriageway closures due to bridge works.

M60, from 8pm August 15 to 5am September 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 to junction 3 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

M67, from 9pm August 29 2022 to 6am August 18 2025, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 - four lane closures and carriageway closures due to bridge works.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

M60, from 8pm September 16 to 6am September 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, jct one to 5 lane closures due to electrical works.

M60, from 6am to 8am on September 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 westbound, jct two exit slip road closure due to electrical works.

M60, from 8am to 10am on September 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60, junction 24 roundabout lane closure due to electrical works.

M67, from 8pm September 24 to 6am September 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 westbound, J3 to J1 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
