Road closures: eight for Tameside drivers this week

Drivers in and around Tameside will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A57, from 7.24pm August 28 to 3.30pm September 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A57 eastbound, at, junction of A6016 works on the footway to repair leak on water services.

M67, from 9pm August 30 to 6am September 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 - four lane closures and carriageway closures due to bridge works.

M67, from 5am August 30 to 9pm September 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 - four lane closures and carriageway closures due to bridge works.

M60, from 8pm August 15 to 5am September 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 to junction 3 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

M67, from 9pm August 29 2022 to 6am August 18 2025, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, junction 1 - four lane closures and carriageway closures due to bridge works.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

A57, from 9.30am September 5 to 3.30pm September 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A57 eastbound, - works on the footway outside 39A Mottram Moor to clear blockages.

M67, from 8pm September 7 to 6am September 8, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, M60 to J4 - carriageway closure for communications.

M60, from 8pm September 16 to 6am September 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, jct one to 5 lane closures due to electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
