Road closures: eight for Tameside drivers this week

Drivers in and around Tameside will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Tameside will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And six of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 9pm May 23 to 7am June 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 Anticlockwise, junction 23 lane closures and slip road closure due to resurfacing.

M60, from 9pm May 23 to 7am June 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 Anticlockwise, junction 24 lane closures and slip road closure due to resurfacing.

A57, from 8am April 4 to 5pm August 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A57 westbound and eastbound, Mottram Moor, lane closures for Cadent gas.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

M60, from 9pm June 6 to 5am June 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 24 to junction 23 - Lane closure for drainage.

M60, from 8pm June 8 to 5am June 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 23 - Lane closure for drainage.

M60, from 8pm June 9 to 6am June 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M67 eastbound, J1 to 4 - Lane closure for Sign removal.

M67, from 9pm June 9 to 5am June 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M67 eastbound and westbound, J1a to J3 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

M60, from 8pm June 19 to 6am June 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 24 - 25 lane closures and carriageway closures due to resurfacing.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
